My 3rd floor shower

15 years old. This shower had 2 applications of mineral oil to permanently darken the stone. The traction was not affected. The application of mineral oil is for cosmetic purposes only.

This guest bathroom was created using random pieces of soapstone that I had in the yard.

So you can see the difference between each stone.

Any job we do is cut from the same block so the color and pattern are consistent.

This is my home and I’m using my extras.

This is a grey marble with cement grout is 1 1/2 years old and already showing it’s age.

The grout is discolored and the marble is darkening as well.

Why? Because both are porous, and this despite the on-going application of sealers.
